This first annual strategic foresight report presents the European Commission’s strategy to integrate strategic foresight into EU policy-making.

This report contains policy and investment recommendations for trustworthy Artificial Intelligence, addressed to EU institutions and Member States. The High-Level Expert Group on AI puts forward suggestions that can guide trustworthy AI towards sustainability, growth and competitiveness, as well as inclusion – while empowering, benefiting and protecting human beings.

The guidelines put forward a set of 7 key requirements that the expert group believes AI systems should meet in order to be deemed trustworthy. A specific assessment list aims to help verify the application of each of the key requirements. The first draft of these guidelines was released in December 2018 for public consultation.

This report proposes a vision for the future of scholarly communication; it examines the current system, with its strengths and weaknesses, and its main actors. It considers the roles of researchers, research institutions, funders, policymakers, publishers and other service providers.

This collection of best practice examples shows how European Union member states are improving access to social protection for workers and self-employed citizens. It was developed by national authorities and social partners for national authorities and social partners, to support the implementation of social protection measures under the European Pillar of Social Rights.
