This publication sets out guiding principles that platforms, governments, policy-makers and other stakeholders ought to take into account in their design, moderation and regulation practices. It builds upon the generative work currently underway with the proliferation of alternative, independent collectives and cooperatives, who are designing new spaces, ethical standards and governance mechanisms for sexual content.

Public interest sex tech hackathon: speculative futures and participatory design


Sex tech has emerged as a site in which sexual pleasure, wellbeing and health are increasingly understood as data. The Public Interest Sex Tech Hackathon offered new perspectives on ethical data governance and public interest technologies by exploring a topic that has been both sensationalised/stigmatised and framed as a space of gendered entrepreneurship.
