The National Women’s Health Strategy 2020-2030 outlines Australia’s national approach to improving health for all women and girls in Australia. This initial baseline report provides a current state assessment of the strategy, considering how it has been implemented from its commencement in 2020 to May 2024. It identifies five improvements and five gaps.

The report provides independent projections of the Federal Budget, including detailed estimates of future spending and revenues. It forecasts an underlying cash deficit $5.2 billion worse than estimated in the 2024-25 budget. This is a significant deterioration from the $15.8 billion surplus in 2023-24.

The Colvin Review was commissioned to improve disaster funding arrangements. A total of 47 recommendations were made under the themes of: Commonwealth role and coordination, a National Natural Disaster Outcomes Policy, an evidence-informed, risk-based approach, program reforms, non-government and community sector.

This strategy document identifies the role that the bioenergy sector can play in Australia’s energy transition and in helping Australia to further reduce carbon emissions.

With financial sustainability, care delivery, patient centricity, digital transformation, and regulatory compliance at the top of the agenda, this report argues that health care sector leaders need to collaborate with all stakeholders, as they look to shape the future of health care and establish a sustainable smart health community.
