This report provides insight into the current employment climate for older workers, and the shift in perceptions around Australia’s ageing workforce.

Workforce planning that includes succession planning is regarded as a core strategic human resource activity. However, the data in this study leads to the conclusion that organisations may not be giving it the attention it deserves.

This is AHRI’s second study, in association with Deakin University, on the impact for the Fair Work Act in Australian workplaces. The findings provide a first hand perspective on the operational impact of the Fair Work laws.
