This report draws on evidence from several audit reports, and also from procurement practitioners, as well as the context of similar findings over recent years, to make 19 recommendations both to the audited entities and to the Australian Department of Finance as the 'steward' of the procurement framework.

This inquiry reviewed parliamentary practice and procedure to implement recommendations 10 and 27 of the 2021 'Set the standard' report. These recommendations related to eliminating sexist, exclusionary or discriminatory language, behaviour and practices in the Chamber, and improving safety and respect.

Foreign interference has been an issue of growing global concern in the past decade. A key recommendation from this inquiry is for the Australian Government to require all large social media platforms operating in Australia to meet a minimum set of transparency requirements, enforceable with fines.
