This independent review considers the current legislative, policy and operational frameworks used in the ACT to initiate, run, and manage effective work health and safety prosecutions.

This document is WorkSafe ACT’s response to the recommendations of the 'Conduct of Work Health and Safety Prosecutions Review' undertaken in 2022 into the effectiveness of the legislative, policy and operational framework used in the ACT to initiate, run and manage WHS prosecutions.

Psychosocial hazards in the workplace such as harassment, bullying and poorly managed supervision and training can result in stress, burnout and worse. This article outlines some of the laws and organisational cultural changes that can help identify, assess and eliminate or mitigate psychosocial hazards and risks.

The scope of this review is confined to examining the work health and safety compliance and enforcement arrangements. It is not a policy and legislative review.
