Residential involvement in urban development in Sydney: the new politics of the city
This study explores a new approach to community involvement in planning that responds to contemporary critiques of participatory planning.We conclude the report by providing an alternate pathway that might create more meaningful community participation in the planning and development of the city.

Dunbar way renewal evaluation
In 2011, Pacific Link Housing negotiated a project with Housing NSW to renew the Dunbar Way social housing estate in North Gosford in return for management rights. This study evaluates the outcomes of the renewal including resident’s experience of social housing neighbourhood, their attitudes toward the built environment and their aspirations for the estate.

Through a mixed-methods retrospective case study of an ‘extreme’ instance of community opposition to affordable housing development in the Western Sydney LGA of Parramatta, this paper looks at how and why community opposition to affordable housing escalated between 2009 and 2011, addressing this gap in knowledge.
