Rural generalist anaesthetists (RGAs) are central to the delivery of health care in much of rural and remote Australia. This article details a systematic review of the literature specifically asking the question, ‘what is the current evidence of the 'safety' of anaesthesia delivered by RGAs?’

Barriers, enablers and initiatives for uptake of advance care planning in general practice: a systematic review and critical interpretive synthesis
How advance care planning (ACP) is conceptualised in Australia including when, where and how ACP is best initiated, is unclear. It has been suggested that healthcare delivered in general practice provides an optimal setting for initiation of ACP discussions but uptake remains low.

This project investigated Australian medical student burn-out during rural clinical placement and examined the association between perceived burn-out and rural career intent at the time of finishing their rural placement.
