Currently, Individualised Living Arrangements (ILAs) are an under-utilised housing and living support option for National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants. This environmental scan examines safeguarding in Individualised Living Arrangements (ILAs) and similar shared living models across Australia and internationally. The findings highlight areas to strengthen safeguarding in Australia and inform future policy improvements.

Pathways to Employment (P2E) was a small, proof-of-concept trial to test the efficacy of mainstream employment pathway support for young people in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Despite implementation constraints associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, this evaluation shows that the P2E trial generated encouraging results, as well as highlighting areas for further development.

What needs to be done to reform policies and practices that aim to increase the participation of people with disability in employment? This report identifies 10 intersecting strategies that could drive systemic change to improve employment outcomes for people with disability in employment.
