An emerging view in public policy is that there should be greater use of evaluations and randomised controlled trials (also known as RCTs). This paper provides the first large-scale survey evidence on knowledge and support for RCTs in a high-income country, and how this support varies across the population.

In this paper, the authors focus on data trust and data privacy, and how attitudes may be changing during the COVID-19 period. They also look at the implications of these changes for the take-up and effectiveness of the COVIDSafe App.
