This study examines 18.1 million Australians under 65 potentially eligible for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). It highlights widespread disability support needs across diverse areas of life. The information is important for the planning of foundational supports delivered by all levels of government and across different service sectors.

This project aimed to understand what helps, and what makes it hard for First Nations NDIS participants who are deaf or hard of hearing, to use their NDIS plans in a way that meet their needs and aspirations.

This report discusses a project with two aims: to quantify inequalities in NDIS utilisation and to assess whether exemplar scenarios can close these inequalities.
