The Northern Territory Government, in partnership with Lhere Artepe, the Alice Springs Town Council and the Chamber of Commerce are implementing a range of measures to support the community and improve social outcomes. This response focuses on three key areas to improve safety, support stronger families and engage young people.

The Northern Territory government is enhancing the delivery, convenience and accessibility of digital government services through the launch of this 'Digital Transformation Plan'. The plan continues the government’s digital transformation journey towards a more streamlined and convenient service for Territorians and businesses.

This strategy was developed with expertise from the Disability Advisory Committee (NT) and community input, including from those with lived experience of disability, taking into account their families, carers and significant others, government and non-government services. The strategy and three-year action plan is the first of its kind for the Territory.

This strategy builds on and supersedes the Northern Territory Environment Protection Authority’s Waste Management Strategy for the Northern Territory 2015-2022, and its implementation with consideration to other relevant key Territory policies and strategies.

This strategy has been developed to transform the way social and affordable housing is delivered to Territorians through supporting a diverse and sustainable community housing sector.
