An annual report that provides insights into the state of general practice in Australia. The report examines current and emerging health issues and patient access to care, as well as profiling the workforce, job satisfaction and business of general practice. This year’s themes were: preventive care and multidisciplinary team care in general practice.

This framework is intended to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander values, ways of thinking and approaches to learning into Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) education and training. The Framework is principles-based and provides a nationally consistent approach to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural and Health Training programs.

The report examines current and emerging health issues as well as profiling the workforce, job satisfaction and business of general practice. It forecasts trends in general practice and considers the implications for patients, GPs and the sector.

This document was produced by the RACGP as an overview of the discussion and recommendations put forward at the General Practice Crisis Summit, held in Canberra on 5 October 2022.
