The evaluation found this project effectively improves migrant and refugee women’s Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) knowledge, confidence and attitudes. Women gained vital information, felt more comfortable sharing it and were more willing to seek services. The project shows clear positive impact and offers recommendations on how to strengthen the project.

The Community Conversations project was created to gather further information on the nature of economic exclusion among refugee and migrant communities in Melbourne’s west, and to source community-informed ideas for reducing barriers to participation.

This guide aims to help people and organisations develop violence prevention approaches, strategies and activities in a way that effectively engages immigrant and refugee communities to prevent violence against women.
