Strategy
Description

A 10-year roadmap to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leadership, cultural strength and best practices into Australia’s mental health system. The plan provides a strategic approach to achieving the highest standard of social and emotional wellbeing (SEWB), mental health, and suicide prevention for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It focuses on five key themes and aligns with the National Agreement on Closing the Gap

The framework is structured into three key phases, each underpinned by effective governance mechanisms to ensure appropriate performance monitoring, collaboration and accountability across the life of the framework. It describes the goals and strategies for the five themes. For each theme, priority actions are identified to be implemented in the first phase. Key actors expected to be involved in the delivery of the strategies are identified for each of the themes.

  2. Best practice
