Description
The Centre for Community Child Health Policy Brief series aims to stimulate informed debate about issues that affect children’s health development and wellbeing. Each issue draws on current research and evidence-informed practice.
This edition outlines a decision-making framework that recognises the importance of the relationship between service providers and clients, and the need for evidence-based interventions to be aligned with client needs, priorities and values.
This edition explores:
- The evidence regarding the three components of evidence-informed practice: evidence-based programs, evidence-based processes and client and professional values.
- The implications of the research including a recommended nine-step decision-making framework.
- Considerations for policy and practice to achieve better outcomes for children and families.
