Description
The most important objective of the National Quality Framework (NQF) is to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of children attending education and care services.
This paper uses data from the National Quality Agenda Information Technology System (NQA ITS) to provide analysis of trends in serious incidents resulting in injury, trauma or illness in Australian children’s education and care services between 1 April 2020 and 31 March 2022.
The report examines:
- the most common types of injury, trauma or illness incidents
- common causes
- when and where the incidents occur.
