The Queensland government is committed to advancing the rights and interests of women and girls, increasing their economic participation, and working to achieve gender equality in Queensland.
This strategy aims to improve the health and wellbeing of all women and girls across their life course, with a focus on priority communities, to achieve health equity.
Key reform goals:
- Enhance the health of priority communities
- Increase prevention and early intervention
- Improve health literacy
- Increase access to gender-informed, integrated and equitable care
- Continue to develop an informed and trusted workforce
- Build a strong evidence base
