Description
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a leading cause of illness and death among Australian women.
Recent data indicates that over half a million Australian women have one or more heart, stroke and vascular diseases, and that CVD is the cause of almost one-third of all deaths among women.
Aspects of CVD prevention and treatment are unique to women, and these gender differences are increasingly being recognised.
