This booklet has been prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in the interests of improving government agencies’ understanding of New Zealand’s practice with respect to international treaties and arrangements. Further, provide guidance for government agencies on practice and procedures for concluding international treaties and arrangements. Contents include treaty terminology and process, national interest analysis, arrangements, treaty consultations and information on sources for international treaties.
